I'm writing purely because I have a massive and impending to-do list, you know, important things like:
- Write my Christmas cards (they are all made... and to the classic Kirsten template of the smaller-the-cuter-the-better)
- Start on my next 5000 word essay (I have taken out of the library a pile of books almost as tall as me. Which maybe isn't that many. And when I say 'taken out of the library' I would like to confirm that I did not steal them. Only borrowed. If you try and 'take' them proper an alarm goes off and it is really quite embarrassing)
- Start/finish the mildly alarming number of sewing projects which have a Christmas deadline
- TIDY THE HOUSE
Instead, I can think of only infinitely more fun things to do, like make a cup of tea, pluck my eyebrows, write a blog...
In other news, I finally succumbed and put my heating on after the day I realised that I could see my breath in my living room, and that I was also having to wash a lot more socks than usual (see previous post if that seems a bit odd). And as much as I hate to admit it, it is a lot nicer coming home and feeling able to take my coat off. Also, I was incredibly proud of myself as my boiler had some pressure issues, and I was able to sort them without the help of plumber or indeed any man. All a single girl needs is Google. Please don't rain on my parade by telling me that Google is a male creation (is it?).
Right-oh, enough procrastinating for one night. Just one last thing, I saw this utterly divine knitted necklace on Etsy (check it out www.etsy.com/listing/83436285/big-crochet-bow-necklace-in-cranberry) and I can't stop thinking about it...
